Meals will follow a similar structure to the last reunion: everyone will be responsible for their own breakfasts and lunches. We will have communal dinners each night.
To help everything run smoothly, Ryan and Scott will need a few sous chefs each night to help with meal prep and setup, as well as a few volunteers for clean-up duty after dinner. To share the work, each family unit will be responsible for appointing sous chefs and clean-up duty volunteers one night of the week (with the exception of Sunday and Tuesday nights):
Sunday: No volunteers needed
Monday: Jan and Ron (New York Gallaghers)
Tuesday: No volunteers needed
Wednesday: Judy and Gordon (Texas Gallaghers)
Thursday: Jan and Ed (Michigan Gallaghers)
Friday: Adel and Bruce (Pennsylvania/Ohio Gallaghers)
Saturday: Barb and Jay (Delaware Gallaghers)
Dinners will be approximately $100 per person for the week. Children under 6 eat free.
This will be used for dinners and common items for each house (paper towels for kitchens, plates, silverware, napkins, cups, trash bags, salt, pepper, and basic condiments (ketchup, mustard, and mayo)).
Any excess funds will be used for communal drinks and/or desserts.
We will finalize this cost during the week of reunion and let everyone know the final per person cost. Please pay Bret for this at the end of Reunion week or week after. You can pay electronically (venmo, zelle, paypal) or by check/cash during reunion week.
As in past reunions, we are looking forward to a time of shared family time prior to the evening meals. A moment of song will be followed by changing activities each night, each one intended to foster remembrances of our shared generational history.
An ask we have of you is to submit two facts about you that not many would know (or remember from the last reunion ). Kids are welcome to submit two facts as well. Please fill out this FORM or email them to Nancy Gallagher before 7/15 at nangall90@gmail.com.
Finally, if your experience of these pre-meal family events would benefit, Nancy is hosting a baby/toddler/children’s play area separate from where we will gather.
